The International BarLady Competition created from the need to celebrate the professionalism of women around the world who work in the field of bartending, to highlight, in pink colours, the best that exists in the profession and illuminates, with unusual hues of creativity, technique and innovation, the entire world of the Bartenders.
IBC’s primary goal is to gather BarLadies from all over the world and give them the opportunity to develop their skills, grow in the field of bartending and compete on 3 days, 7 – 8 & 9 March 2025 (International Women’s Day).
The 2nd Edition of the International Barlady Competition will be held in Havana, Cuba, and is a cooperation of IBC with the Cuban Ministry of Tourism and the Cuban Bartenders Association.

⦁ BARLADY OF THE YEAR
The 5 winners, one in each category, they will compete with each other and the winner will be declared “Barlady of the Year”
The best 5 finalists face a black box task. They have 30 minutes to create a completely new Drink / Cocktail from a basket of spirits, liqueurs, syrups, herbs, non-alcoholic ingredients and other foodstuffs defined by the organizer. Participants may only take their bar equipment with them and nothing else. All ingredients, garnish and/or decoration elements MUST come out from the black box. Using your own glasses is allowed.

MAIN RULES
• Respect the official Sponsor List
• The Competitor present in the Uniform of the Company who she´s working for or dress code Black & Gold .
The uniform and bar equipment must not carry any spirits industry branding unless it is an official
– only in the event of non-availability by the sponsors may the participant use another product that is not on the list of sponsors
• Homemade Syrups are not allowed
• Homemade ingredient (except of Syrup) is allowed
– only one homemade ingredient is allowed, with a max. quantity of 2 cl
– this ingredient must be professionally labeled and in an anonymous Bottle
– all ingredients of the homemade ingredient must be named and exactly how it was produced (maceration, infusion, etc…)
• Homemade Ice cubes or special Ice forms are allowed, must be brought by yourself and you are responsible for proper storage on site
• Airs, Foams, Spherications, are allowed but needed to prepare in the preparation room & must be explained
• You are responsible of all your fresh fruits you need
• Drink names including rude, shocking, sexual, racist words, words with narcotics and alluding to physical diseases or disabilities, are prohibited
ABOUT COMPETITION
• The Participants must prepare 4 identical portions. 3 for the judges, one for the photo
• using products from the official IBC sponsor list of the International Bar Lady Competition is mandatory
• there will be Competitors working on stage at the same time and presenting their creation, remember to have a story behind your cocktail
• Time in preparation room is 20 Minutes
• Time on stage is 2 min for set-up and 10 min for Preparation & Presentation
• Time on stage will be stopped by clock
FINAL
The best 5 finalists face a black box task. • A technical judge enters their score to the scoring sheet. Points are deducted based on the Technical Judge’s observation. The remaining points will be the final score for the technical performance
• At the end of the performance, each tasting judge will give his personal unquestionable opinion, carefully evaluating each item that is marked on the sheet
• The judging forms will be collected by the secretary, who will make the final calculations considering the results already obtained by the competitors
• After the finals is the award giving ceremony with:
